About the Candidate

Meet Beth Carrigg

Beth Carrigg
Her Story

A Lifelong Commitment to South Carolina

Beth was born and raised in South Carolina and moved to Lexington County at 18. A military brat and the baby of seven children, she brings the resilience, adaptability, and work ethic of someone who's always had to earn her place at the table.

Beth graduated from Richland Northeast High School, Midlands Technical College, and the University of South Carolina. She is married to the Honorable John W. Carrigg, Jr., and together they share three children, two grandchildren, and a fur-baby named Olivia.

"We can only develop Lexington County one time — and we must get it right for our own quality of life and that of future generations."

When she isn't serving the public, Beth enjoys spending time with her husband, grandchildren, and Olivia — and stealing away for a little time at Folly Beach whenever she can.
